From beginners to very advanced students my studio offers a variety of possibilities according to your needs. The main philosophy of the studio is to inspire and encourage aiming to instil the love of music and promote learning that comes from within each student. The success rate for those that wish to undertake exams is 100% with more than 50% distinctions.
Piano, theory and general musicianship tutoring at its best with a highly qualified and experienced teachers, offering face to face and online lessons. All the necessary guidelines for face to face lessons are in place.
A students’ concert is organised each year. All students are encouraged to participate in local festivals and competitions.
Starting rates for 2020-21 are £30.00 for 30'. For students taking grading exams, Grade 1-4, I recommend at least a 45’ weekly lesson including Theory,(£48.00).For Grades 5,6 and 7 a 60' lesson is highly recommended (£55.00). Grade 8 students will need a minimum of 60' lessons weekly,(£60.00).
Theory and musicianship sessions are included in all lessons.
Costas Nikolakis
Costas has a first class BMus (Honours) degree in Music Performance, and four years experience in teaching piano and theory to children and adults. He has won prizes in the Oxford and Abingdon Music Festivals and in June 4, 2021 he won a joint first prize in the Mona Blackman Competition.
He studied under the guidance of Nicolas Bloomfield (RAM), Anthony Williams (RAM), and Natasa Sarcevic (RCM).

Despina studied at the Royal College of Music and obtained her RCM in piano performance and ARCM in piano teaching in 1981. As a scholar of the French Government, she went to Paris to study piano with Monique Haas and Composition with Jacques Casterede. Her Masters Degree in Musicology, followed in 1984.(Paris Sorbonne) She has been performing in Europe and the US as a soloist, recitalist and in various chamber music groups. Critics have described her as a "stunning performer", "a great talent" and her performances of "great quality" and "moments of emotion". Her teaching experience has a span of more than 40 years, including the "National Conservatory of Greece", the music school of the "Austin Lyric Opera" in Texas, the Regional Conservatories of Mesnil St. Denis and Cernay la Ville (France) ,and the "Music Practice" in Abingdon UK. In 2011 she founded her own private practice, "Piano Key Studio". Many of her students have won prizes and awards.Her student success in the ABRSM exams is 100%. She has very successfully prepared students that took their CT and ABRSM diploma. Despina is an EPTA member and an Alexander technique advocate.
